Lighting Services in Lincoln, Nebraska
Our home city. Most of what we install goes up in Lincoln, from century-old homes in the Near South to new builds on the southern and eastern edges.
Capital Shine Lighting in Lincoln
Capital Shine Lighting is based in Lincoln and the majority of our work happens inside the city. That matters more than it sounds: we are not driving in from somewhere else, so scheduling is flexible, call-outs during the season are quick, and we know the housing stock.
Lincoln is unusually varied for a city its size. A Craftsman in the Near South with deep eaves, bracketed gables and a wraparound porch needs a completely different approach from a two-storey new build in Firethorn or Williamsburg with long clean rooflines and a steep front pitch. Both get measured; neither gets a standard package.

Lighting built for Lincoln's housing stock
Older neighbourhoods such as the Near South, Country Club and Woods Park tend to mean complex rooflines, dormers, turrets and mature trees close to the house. These are the properties where measurement actually earns its keep, and where tree and shrub wrapping often does more for the overall effect than adding more roofline.
Newer developments in south and east Lincoln usually have simpler, longer rooflines and steeper pitches. The work there is less about navigating architecture and more about getting clean, even spacing across long runs and handling height safely.
Havelock, Piedmont, Belmont, Fallbrook and the University area all sit comfortably within our normal working radius, as does anything inside the beltway.
Booking in Lincoln
Lincoln installs run from late October through mid-December and the calendar fills from the top down. Because this is our home city we hold more flexibility here than elsewhere, but the best dates still go first.
In-season call-outs in Lincoln are usually same or next day. If a run goes dark in December, we are not coming from another county.
Frequently asked questions
How quickly can you come out for a quote in Lincoln?
Usually within a few days during the season, and faster outside it. The consultation is free and takes about twenty minutes on site.
Do you work on historic homes in the Near South?
Yes, and they are some of our favourite jobs. Complex rooflines, dormers and porch detail are exactly where a measured layout separates itself from store-bought strands. We mount to trim and fascia rather than through roofing material.
Can you handle two and three-storey homes?
Yes. We are licensed and insured and carry the equipment for height work. If a section of a property is genuinely unsafe to light, we say so at the consultation rather than after taking the job.
